I am happy to announce that the cover art has all been finalised and sent off for final approval by the printers.
Every aspect of this book I aimed to make as personal as possible, right down to the cover art. I knew over 12 months ago who I wanted to create the design.
The designer who crafted my cover is none other than the lovely Rachael Jacquelyn (@serarae.art). Rachael and I worked together in London, for a period of 6 weeks. As short as that may seem, as you will learn from my book, sometimes it only takes a couple of hours for someone to be able to make a lifelong impact on you.
When designing the cover, there were a few elements that we knew we wanted to be included.
- The teal green, which is used as a background colour, is my favourite colour;
- The body outline is of me, as you can see in the images below;
- The backpack I'm wearing is the same backpack that I have been living with for the last four years; and
- The shell at the base is the shell that you collect when you complete the el Camino de Sanitago.
